*If you would like first pick as kids wean, I recommend getting on my reservation list for 2025... these guys go fast!

And just like that, the '24 kidding season is over!

Here's the tally: 36 kids - 16 bucklings & 20 doelings

LCLL Brass Phantom (doeling) & LCLL Alloy Brass (buckling)

100% New Zealand (ZVA Brass Tacks X MJI F0985 Missouri) DOB:3/24/2024

Missouri has been put to the test over the years and has produced top-notch kids no matter what buck she's bred to.  Does like her frequently get overlooked, but when you take some time to view their stats, this is the kind of doe that will be the foundation of a stellar breeding program!  There's no one I'd rather pair her with for her first kidding on my farm, than Brass Tacks; It's a recipe for success. I'll be retaining Phantom and assessing Alloy for his potential as a herd sire. Both eligible for registration w/NKR as 100% NZ.

LCLL Maxwell & LCLL Yuban (bucklings)

100% New Zealand (KCR Kopf Canyon Maximillian X JHKK Dos Leches) DOB: 3/20/2024

These twin bucklings aren't a true black/white, but rather, have a coffee brown hue to them so I couldn't resist going with coffee themed names. Vanilla was already bred to Max (pictured here at just 5 months old) when I purchased her so I can't take any credit for these boys, but I'll benefit no doubt. Vanilla is a solid doe, with wonderful weight distribution, and these boys are already looking equally stout. Both boys are reserved.

LCLL Maybelline & LCLL L'Oreal (doelings)

100% New Zealand (KCR Kopf Canyon Maximillian X JHKK Peaches N Cream) DOB: 3/19/24

As a first freshener, Peaces really set the bar high. Peaches' breeder had a special fondness for her from day one, and it shows in her sweet, social personality. I expect her kids will have the same sweet, curious demeanor. This IS her first kidding, and like the two above, Peaches was already bred when I bought her. Max comes from the renowned Kopf Canyon Ranch in Idaho, and is backed by some of the most detailed records in the industry. Each of these kids take after one of their parent; Maybelline looks like daddy, with the most beautiful blue coat and black eyelined eyes, whole L'Oreal had a peachy colored tint and dorsal stripe.  These twin doelings have already gone to their new home.

LCLL Iron Flintlock (buckling) & LCLL Iron Echo (doeling)

100% New Zealand (RRG Iron Loverboy X DDF Andie) DOB: 3/17/2024

Andie was another worthy investment, already bred to AKGA registered NZ buck I-Ron. I drove 1,300 miles to pick up this proven doe, Gypsy (above) and the two yearlings (below), and it was well worth the trip. Andie had the best performing kids for her breeder as a FF in spring of '23. Kids will be eligible for registration as 100% NZ w/ both NKR and AKGA. Both kids are being assessed for retention.

LCLL Cherokee War Horse (buckling), LCLL Genesis & LCLL Journey (doelings)

100% New Zealand (RRG Iron Loverboy X GOT Gypsy) DOB: 3/17/2024

I'm ridiculously fortunate to have added Gypsy to my program, yet the icing on the cake is that she was already bred to AKGA registered buck "I-Ron" when I brought her home. Gypsy has a pedigree that makes me lightheaded! Her grandsires on both her dam and sire's side are two of the BIGGEST names in the kiko goat industry, with semen straws selling for thousands a piece. Those are genetics worth passing on, and I-Ron has an impressive lineage as well. That being said, these colorful, healthy, vibrant triplets are more than a person could ask for! Mamma Gypsy and all 3 kids are sold and headed for Southern California.

LCLL Wild Rye (buckling) & LCLL Wild Perseverance (doeling)

100% NZ (BWP Wild West Bandit X BWP Hinto's Cricket) DOB: 3/11/24

I invested a lot into purchasing Cricket as a doe bred to a buck from one the TOP kiko breeders in the nation.  I didn't have an exact due date on her... and low and behold, she had these twins 3 days after arriving. I was NOT prepared, and the kids were a little premature. Shocker has done well, but Percy managed to wander out of the quarantine pen without being cleaned, dried or getting a belly full of colostrum. We've been struggling to keep her going ever since birth, with high fevers, infections, constipation and deficiencies. She's a fighter though, and we're not giving up on her just yet. Both kids will be eligable for NKR and AKGA registration as 100% NZ.  I will be keeping Percy here on the ranch, and Rye is reserved by a wonderful local family.

LCLL Samba And Spice (doeling) & LCLL Spot Of Folley (buckling)

88% Kiko (FPR Hathorn's Saffron X LCLL Two Step Tango) DOB 3/7/2024

I've had my eye on Tango since day one. Born a quad, raised as a triplet to an 11 year old dam and keeping up with a competitive ADG to weaning, Tango has really proven herself over the last year by maintaining that outstanding ADG to become my biggest, fleshiest yearling doe.  Up and coming herd sire, Saffron has proven himself to produce hearty, healthy, fast gaining offspring and these kids are showing they are no exception. Samba will be eligible for registration as 88% kiko and will be available for sale at weaning and Folly is currently reserved.

LCLL Platinum Brass & LCLL Leap Of Faith (doelings)

Purebred (ZVA Brass Tacks X DDF Ona Impulse) DOB: 3/3/2024

It doesn't get any better than this! I'm head over heels for these twin doelings who are the result of one of my MOST anticipated breedings.  Their momma, Ona, is such a sweet natured girl who is full and fleshy, yet delightfully feminine.  It seems like it's been a long ride, waiting for her to mature enough to finally produce kids of her own, but as you can see, the best things are worth waiting for.  A well-rounded doe like Ona will cross nicely with any buck, but I selected Brass as her suitor because there's absolutely no risks to take when crossing two perfect specimens like them.  These kids are both eligible for registration as PB w/NKR. Platinum is being retained and Faith is reserved.

LCLL Superhelix (buckling) & LCLL Brass Aviatrix (doeling)

Purebred (ZVA Brass Tacks X LPR Matrix) DOB: 2/29/2024

How perfect are these two?!  This breeding produced some brick solid, low maintenance, no-nonsense kids designed to thrive in this climate, with the adaptability to thrive in any other environment as well.  Matrix is not a flashy girl, she's not a fancy color and doesn't tend to stand out in a crowd.  But what you don't immediately see, is the generations of genetics and detailed performance records backing her up.  I have paired Matrix up with Brass, who as you can see, has flair to spare.  Doeling Avery has already left for her new home and buckling Helix is currently reserved.

LCLL Wild Turtledove (doeling) & LCLL Wild N Tough (buckling)

100% New Zealand (BWP Wild West Bandit X IAD Heidi) DOB: 2/29/2024

These twins have the most STRIKING ice blue eyes, which seems to be a dominant trait coming from their dam's side. Their maternal grandsire is none other than JCP Teja's Pistolero, a 100% NZ buck who's made quite a name for himself here in the PNW. Their sire is an own son of GFI Wild Bill and bred by one of the most reputable kiko breeders in the US. Both kids are currently reserved.

LCLL Leeli (doe), LCLL Holland & LCLL Johnny On The Spot (bucks)

Purebred (ZVA Brass Tacks X LPR Melanie) DOB: 2/28/24

I'm delighted to welcome ZVA Brass Tack's FIRST kids to hit the ground!!! Brass is quite a promising young buck, with top genetics backing his bulk, growth rate and ADG. additionally, Melon is a sizeable doe, of good flesh and frame who is an MRG Outlaw granddaughter and from proven Lookout Point bloodlines.  These kids should have top rate of gain and mature to be large, meaty goats.  All three are currently reserved.

LCLL Solara (doeling)

Purebred (FPR Hathorn's Saffron X HTFL Dawn) DOB: 2/22/24

Saffron is a promising young buck who is showing us what he's got to offer with proven 2F doe Donna.  Single doeling Sola is the whole package, with her highly desirable tri-color markings, her mom's size and length, and her dad's adaptability and parasite resistance. Donna set the bar high by raising my two best gaining doelings last season (one of whom I've retained), but I imagine Sola will exceed my expectations. This stunning Purebred doeling will be eligible for registration w/NKR and is already pending sale.

LCLL Hopscotch (doeling), LCLL Head Honcho (buckling) and LCLL Dizzy Doez-It (doeling)

50% kiko (ZVA Player's Red Fox X MEWF Moxi) DOB: 2/4/2024

My Moxi has had triplets two years in a row AND she continued to produce a gallon of milk a day after weaning her kids so that I could feed the handful of bottle babies I had.  I can't express how much I love this doe; she's gentle and maternal, highly productive with generous milk, she's fleshy and maintains her body condition with ease.  Her offspring are of superb quality with delightful personalities.  She's done it yet again, with these darling triplets who are destined to be outstanding, multipurpose, percentage kiko kids! All three of these kids are reserved.

LCLL Red Ryder (buckling), LCLL Caught Red-Handed (buckling), LCLL Dazzle Me Red (doeling)

Purebred (ZVA Player's Red Fox X DDF Caramilk Mousse) DOB: 1/15/2024

I have to admit, this is one of my most anticipated pairings of the season!  Millie is quite possibly my nicest doe... just a step above the rest with 100% sound feet, never having a case of scald or hoof rot (which is a big deal here on the soggy coast).  She's also made the best gain with the least input, and scores highest on every scale.  Millie raised STUNNING triplet doelings spring of '23 as a first freshener, but this is her first time matched up with Red Fox.  Ryder and Dazzle are already reserved, and Red, who will be eligible for registration w/AKGA and NKR, will also be offered for sale as a herd sire prospect.

LCLL Red Ember (doeling) and LCLL Red Flair (buckling)

Purebred (ZVA Player's Red Fox X DDF Halime) DOB: 1/12/2024

Sometimes you change your plans, and sometimes your plans are changed for you.  I was hoping to play matchmaker between Hallie and Jr. herd sire Saffron, but Hallie was having NONE. OF. IT.   As it turns out, she prefers older men, and kept escaping her pen to shamelessly flirt through the fence with Red Fox.  And as you can see, she knew exactly what she was doing. Buckling Flair is a striking red mahogany, and his sister Ember looks just like mom, including the ice blue eyes. Hallie is the definition of a good mother, and these kids were up and nursing within minutes! Both kids are already reserved and headed for their new homes soon.

LCLL Maid Of Dreams (doeling)

75% kiko (FPR Hathorn's Saffron X SCG TTF Ellie Mae) DOB: 1/10/24

Ellie Mae and Saffron knocked it out of the park with this stunning tri-color spotted doeling "Dreamy".  Ellie has had many kids but these are Saffron's first, and talk about starting out with a bang!!!  I'm not sure how he's going to top this.  Ellie May presented with a fever and pneumonia symptoms the night before she unexpectedly delivered twins, 9 days early.  At just hours old, the kids were also exhibiting wet coughs, snotty noses, a high fever and general lack of vitality.  Sadly, we lost the buckling the next morning, but luckily Ellie Mae and Dreamy came out unscathed.  Dreamy is eligible for reg. @ 75% w/NKR and is being retained.

LCLL Kelty (buckling) and LCLL Black Friday (doeling)

100% NZ (ZVA Player's Red Fox X DDF Temptation) DOB: 11/25/23

Temple kicked off the season with these healthy, hearty and vigorous twins!  I've had to search far and wide for 100% NZ does that live up to my standards.  From my experience (primarily due to a lack of genetics/genetic diversity in the PNW) New Zealand kikos just haven't proven themselves or held up like the Purebreds.  So far, Temple has shattered my preconceptions!  Here we have a stunning, fleshy yet feminine 100% NZ doe with outstanding parasite resistance and confirmation.  I'm thrilled by the outcome of this pairing with proven herd sire, Red Fox.  Doeling "Friday" (eligible for registration w/NKR and AKGA as 100% NZ) and both kids are either reserved or have already gone to their new home.

NOTE: Not all kiko kids eligible for registration will be offered with papers. Please understand that anything not meeting my stringent requirements will be offered as commercial (unregistered). This doesn't necessarily mean that the kids are not performing, but could mean that the dam is lacking in material instinct, milk production, etc. traits that I wouldn't want to pass on in a registered animal. I will be open and honest about my reasons for coming to my decisions, so don't hesitate to ask.
